This policy explains what TRAVVIDA INC (“TravVida”) collects when you use travvida.com or the TravVida app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions go to privacy@travvida.com.
You give us: name, email address, mobile number, password, and — when you book — traveler names, dates of birth where a supplier requires them, loyalty numbers, and travel preferences. For payouts, you provide bank details directly to our payment processor.
Created by your use: bookings, itineraries, commission and payout records, support messages, and membership billing history.
Collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, app version, pages viewed, and timestamps — used for security, fraud prevention, and diagnosing errors.
We do not collect precise device location in the background, and we do not buy personal information from data brokers.
Travel suppliers — airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators and car rental companies — receive the traveler details necessary to make and service a booking. Once shared, the supplier handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Service providers acting on our instructions: Stripe (payments and payouts), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Twilio (text messages), and our email provider. They may use the data only to perform services for us.
Legal and safety: where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety. Business transfer: if TravVida is acquired or merged, data may transfer with the business, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, that means there is nothing to opt out of — but you may still contact us to confirm.
Card numbers and bank account numbers are collected and stored by Stripe, not by TravVida. We see only a masked reference (for example, the last four digits) and the status of a payment or payout. This applies both to membership charges and to the account you connect to receive commission payouts.
When you connect a bank account — for example, to receive commission payouts or to verify account ownership — we use Plaid Inc. to link your account. Plaid collects and processes information from your financial institution on our behalf, such as account and routing details and account ownership information. By connecting an account, you grant TravVida and Plaid the right to process that information as described in Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy. We receive only what we need to route payouts and verify ownership — never your banking credentials, which go directly to Plaid or your bank. You can revoke a connection at any time from your account settings or by contacting us, and you can manage Plaid connections at my.plaid.com.
If you consent, we use your mobile number to send account and travel messages — verification codes, booking confirmations, trip reminders, payout notices, and support replies. Details of the program, including how to stop messages, are in the SMS Program Terms and at travvida.com/sms, which publishes our consent screen in full.
Consent is collected through a checkbox that is unchecked by default and is never required to create an account or make a purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or Reply HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with or sold to any third party. Mobile information may be shared with subcontractors who provide support services on our behalf — such as our messaging provider and customer service tooling — strictly to help us deliver the messages you asked for, and those subcontractors are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
We use cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure, plus limited first-party measurement to understand which pages are used. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Delete your account from Settings in the app, or email privacy@travvida.com from your account address and we will act within 30 days — no app installation required. You may also object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent for text messages at any time. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Some records survive account deletion because the law requires it: completed booking and commission records, and payment and tax records, are retained for seven years for accounting, tax and supplier-audit purposes, then deleted. Support messages are retained for two years. Everything else is deleted or irreversibly anonymized when you close your account.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our infrastructure providers. Access to member data is restricted to personnel who need it, sign-in is protected by our authentication provider, and payment credentials never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by law.
TravVida is not directed to children. You must be 18 or older to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13; if we learn we have, we delete it. Minors may of course appear as travelers on a booking made by an adult, and that information is used only to make the reservation.
TravVida is operated from the United States and data is processed there. Booking a trip abroad necessarily transfers the traveler details required for that trip to suppliers in the destination country. If you use TravVida from outside the US, you consent to this transfer.
When a TravVida Travel Agent member sets up a private page for someone they book for, that person is a client rather than a member, and we hold only what is needed to run the page: the name, email address and any phone number their advisor entered, the trips their advisor chose to send, the replies and messages exchanged there, and the sign-in records for the page itself. We do not build a marketing profile from it and we do not sell it.
A client page shows a copy of the booking rather than a live window into our systems, and that copy is limited by design: it can carry the travel details — confirmation numbers, dates, addresses, times, cancellation deadlines and the amount charged — and it is technically incapable of carrying commission, supplier cost or margin figures, which are never present in the data a client page can read.
A client page is visible to the advisor who created it and to TravVida staff who need it for support, billing disputes, fraud review or a legal obligation. Should an advisor cease working with TravVida, their client records pass to TravVida’s administration and may be assigned to another advisor. Clients keep the same rights described in section 7: a client may ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close the page and delete it, by writing to support@travvida.com. Closing a page does not erase the underlying travel records the advisor and TravVida must keep for tax, accounting and supplier-dispute purposes.
